AS THE
TWENTIETH CENTURY
ROARS TO LIFE,
EVERYONE HAS A DREAM,
SO EVERYONE HAS A FIGHT
The journey begins…
Seeking a better life, Mike Gibbons, the son of an Irish rebel and immigrant, hunts the middleweight boxing crown in early twentieth-century America. Against the ticking clock of the outlawed sport and his own aging body, Mike’s highly strategic quest takes him from a nobody in the middle of nowhere to the boxing mecca of Madison Square Garden; into the orbit of historical luminaries like Harry Houdini, Theodore Roosevelt, and F. Scott Fitzgerald; and through a crucible of women’s rights, racial violence, mobster uprisings, a global pandemic, and a world war.
