In the bloom of America’s Jazz Age, with his legendary older brother now retired from the fight game, TOMMY GIBBONS takes his moment in the spotlight, racing the clock to fight man-killer and heavyweight champion JACK DEMPSEY for the crown, the spoils of war being just enough to prevent his beloved wife from succumbing to the horrors of mental illness.
Tommy’s mission, covering the years of 1920-1929, is nearly derailed when big brother MIKE, the erstwhile St. Paul Phantom, launches a dangerous and surprising comeback at the age of 35.

When Tommy is elected Sheriff of St. Paul, he teams with his older brother, retired boxing legend MIKE, formerly The Phantom, along with a crusading investigative journalist, an upstart surveillance wizard, and J. EDGAR HOOVER, the FBI’s trigger-happy director, to eradicate the criminal Public Enemies and profound police corruption that threaten his home, his family, professional boxing and everything he loves.
